The Women & Politics Institute boasts one of the largest faculties in the country with significant research agendas focusing on women, politics, and public policy. Many faculty members are the authors of  political science textbooks and editors of scholarly journals. Because of its faculty expertise, the Women & Politics Institute offers a number of courses each semester on women and politics.

The Institute's broad course offerings allow us to issue Graduate and Undergraduate certificates in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership (WPPL). Students who pursue the WPPL certificate take a number of courses through which they gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to pursue a career in politics and government. Students in the WPPL program also have the opportunity to take week-long courses.
